In the ancient city of Fenghuang in central China there is a small home workshop where seven Miao minority women sew these beautiful Bible Covers. The factory was established by Paul and Dorothy Lacy, an American couple who lived there for 14 years. It is now owned by a local Miao woman, Sharon Long. The women are paid fair wages, work in a comfortable and happy workspace, and are treated with love and fairness according to kingdom principles.
Meet the seven Miao ladies who make these Shenaini Bible Covers with the founding owners, Paul and Dorothy Lacy.
When we say, "home factory", we mean these Bible Covers are really made in our home. Every day these seven Miao ladies come to work at 8 am and chat amicably with the others as they settle into another 8 hour day of work. These women have been well trained by Sharon Long, the Miao woman who now owns and runs this small home factory. Over the 14 years that the Lacy's lived there and ran the factory, Sharon was being trained to take over the management and ownership of this factory. Paul and Dorothy had always insisted on using high quality fabrics and zippers in order to produce Bible Covers that would be sturdy and last for years. When you buy one of these Bible Covers, you will see for yourself that the quality and construction of your Bible Cover is superb.
Pei Xin Mei has worked for Shenaini for 10 years and is one of our most skilled seamstresses. She is the one that we go to when we want special orders sewn for customers and also for developing the sewing process for new designs. She is a widow with two grown daughters who both went to university with the help of scholarships from our company.

We offer 3 sizes to easily accommodate whatever size Bible or prayer book you have. The seams and the zippers are very strong and will not break, even if the Bible Cover is stretched a bit.

We are currently getting our fabric custom made by a reliable factory in China that produces consistently high quality fabric with a gorgeous array of colors. This fabric is 100% cotton and will give long lasting wear. It's tough but soft and beautiful. Give it a try; you will love it.
